Every lid carries a batch number inside. For example, 01-26091 means color 01, September 2026, batch 1.
About us
Welcome to Olisand! We're Olita and Linda, two women from Latvia with a shared love of color, texture and beautiful handmade things.
It started with a simple question: natural quartz sand is lovely on its own, but what if it came in every color you could dream of? Olita spent months experimenting until she perfected her own coloring process. Today she oversees every batch herself, so each shade stays rich, even and consistent from one order to the next.
Linda brings more than 10 years of experience in online selling. She runs our shop, answers your messages and makes sure every order is carefully packed and shipped to you.

How much sand is in a jar?+
4.4 oz (125 g), about 1/3 cup (roughly 3 fl oz / 85 ml), in a clear plastic jar with a secure screw-top lid.
What is it made of?+
Natural quartz sand quarried in Latvia, washed, dried and sifted, then hand-tinted with gouache pigment. Grain size 0–1.0 mm, fine, angular grains with a natural mineral texture.
Will the color match between jars?+
Every batch is tinted by hand, so shades may vary slightly between batches and screens. For several jars of one color, order them together for the best match.
Where do you ship?+
We ship to the U.S. with import duties prepaid whenever applicable, so customers normally have no additional import charges at delivery.
Can I return it?+
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days through Etsy.
Do you make custom colors or bulk orders for weddings and events?+
Yes, message us on Etsy.
Is it safe for kids, pets, aquariums or plants?+
No. For adult decorative use only. Not a toy. Small particles, keep away from children and pets. Do not eat. Dry use only: not for aquariums, plant soil, sandboxes or food contact. Pigment may transfer if wet.
